My Very First Giveaway

The night that Promise Me Darkness was released, I had 45 followers on Facebook (all strangers, btw). I now have 2,000 (and counting)! Of those, I think five are family or friends. The rest are there because they liked my book. :)

I love interacting with my fans on Facebook. They make all the long hours sitting in front of a computer worth every minute of it. They make me smile and laugh. Some have made me cry and left me stunned (in a good way). Everyone has had such nice things to say about Promise Me Darkness, that I can't thank them enough. In celebration of my 2,000 likes, I am giving away two signed copies of my book (one for each 1,000 likes). Just go under my new tab, Events, to enter the giveaway.

I've Escaped!

I have made my way out of the Writing Cave. The sunlight hits my eyes, blinding me for a moment. The Cave is a dark, lonely place filled with coffee, never getting dressed, and eating one too many TV dinners but I enjoy spending time with Ryder and Maddie. :) So please forgive my long absence. I've been busy typing away all hours of the day and night in order to meet my deadline.

I received the paperback proof of 'Promise Me Darkness' just the other day. It was a surreal feeling holding it in my hands. Now, it is for sale on Amazon. (And I would like to add that the price is controlled by Amazon.) I also will have signed copies for sale via my website very soon. Please ask your local bookstore or library for a copy of my book. If they are asked enough times, they might buy it and put it on their shelves. (Yes, they will do this even for a self-published author.)

Last night, I received an email from my graphic designer, Sarah Hansen of Okay Creations. (Think Abbi Glines, Colleen Hoover, and so many other great book covers.) She did an AMAZING job on bookmarks for Promise Me Darkness. They are beautiful. I don't know how else to describe them. I want to post a pic but I'm trying really hard to keep the bookmarks a secret until I actually can hold one in my hand.

And another bit of exciting news - I'm going to BookBash Orlando, June 29, 2013. I hope to see my fans there because, well, I'll be fangirling over my fans. Believe me, I will.

I want to thank everyone for buying my book, giving it rave reviews, and recommending it to other readers. Each day, I receive emails and messages that continue to amaze me. Your kind words and praises have left me speechless (and many have left me in tears).

Since its release, the book has climbed the charts, surprising me with its popularity. Because of you, 'Promise Me Darkness' is on Amazon, New York Times, and USA Today Bestsellers lists. It is a dream-come-true for a first time, self-published author but I couldn't have done it without the readers.
